What is an effective way to eliminate dust in the air?

Although often clean my room and clean the dust from surfaces, yet There are many dust particles in the air of my room. I'm allergic to dust, so I'd like to get rid of as much of it as possible. How I get rid of the dust in the air or at least eliminate a good part of it? Are there technological gadgets that can do that as an air cleaner or something, or something more?
