How can I filter the gray water?

Some friends and I are going camping for a few weeks and I want to recycle gray water (water contaminated with soap and toothpaste). The soap and toothpaste are 100% biodegradable vegetable-based (vegan). Although they are plant based and biodegradable, water will remain the impact of the environment and I fear it may enter the natural water sources (lakes, rivers, ponds). Does anyone know any way to filter or clean water and then what can be done with by-products (used soap / toothpaste and filtered water). I thought about this: As a large drum and pour all the "used" in the water after boiling with the same fire that we use for cooking. I figured that it might allow the steam to go into the air or use any type of "receptor" for precipitating liquid water and then use it to wash our bodies. I thought that the waste would only be waste, but maybe I am wrong. Any help is appreciated.
