air purifier carbon filters

Does anyone have an air purifier with activated carbon filter and / or a HEPA filter, please help me?

I recently bought the Vocarb 5000 of AllerAir. Every time I try to use, the room gets extremely hot and the air smells strange. My eyes also start to itch. Malfunction could be mine? Is there any danger? Or, from experience, can someone tell me if it is normal for air purifiers to warm a room, or perhaps introduce a strange odor or something in the air. As the air cleaner is new, there should be nothing in the filters. It is typical of new products, especially electronics and things like purifiers air emission of smells like new? The fact that my eyes itch when all is what has me pensive, and not just me. When someone else was in the room, eyes were not biting well. Is there any chance at all that the air purifier is putting out something toxic in the air? Could be a health danger? Is it because the filter will simply make all the moisture from the air, and that's what it dry eyes? No, mine does not have an ionizer.

I room with a Kenmore air purifier with a HEPA filter and carbon pre-filter, plus an ionizer. If yours has an ionizer, which could be the ozone layer that is smelling. The air blows into your face if it is part of the roof or dry eyes, if the time sitting there long enough. Check if your unit actually has an ionizer. If not, then you have another problem. Are your filters installed correctly by the user manual? Air purifier room only makes it through two filters and expels it through from the top. It adds nothing to this process as well, not mine anyway.
