air purifier ionic fresh
Ionic air purifier does the smell of the room and makes me a little nauseous. Should I be concerned?
I just got an ionic air purifier. The mark is Ionic Pro Turbo. I put one in the bedroom and one in the living room. When I got home the room smelled that release these things (it's a fresh smell and clean), but I felt a little mild nausea. Not much at all, just a little, but I realized. Is this normal? Does anyone else have experience with these things?
I do not like the 'smell' left by these, a kind of smell bleachy, but should not cause any ill effects if not put anything in the air. It is possible, however, your body is hyper sensitive and is just what lets you know something is different. Some products are cheap 'gas off' the release of formaldehyde and other offensive chemicals. This is caused by a chemical reaction, such as plastics or other synthetic materials cure or disintegrate. If the unit was made in China or another country with little regulation on public health, you may be being poisoned with this release of chemicals. As suggested answerer 1, try going without it and see if it feels normal. If so restore the thing and complain.
