Ferret odor and air purifiers?

Hello, I'm looking to buy an air purifier for a 9''X11''habitación for help reduce odors ferret. Before anyone tries to pin point the root of the problem (unless you find one, please let me know), let clarify some things;): She is sterilized deglanded, the food has no fish or corn in the first three ingredients, clean the litter box once a day, I will not bathe more than twice a year and I wash the bedding once a week. I know that all ferrets have a musky odor that particular and very helpful would change my carpet to a hardwood floor, but I'm moving soon. So my question is: Has anyone tried to use an air purifier to help remove the ferret smell? A cheaper a work in this case, since my goal is just to smell (like Febreze Odor Eliminator ™ with True Night Light)? Thanks, I would a lot of different personal experiences! Note: Ferrets are legal in Canada …!? Answer 2 is irrelevant.

LOL, it seems that you have given lectures above all things that might create an odor problem (or at least you've done your research). =) One thing I will add about diet – ferrets are a meat high (with base) of protein and low ash diet tend to smell less, so you might want to check the protein and ash content as well. You could be just one of those people who has a very sensitive nose and no matter what you do can always be a smell (my mom is). Have you tried baking sodium spray on your carpets before vacuuming? When I had the carpet in the room of my ferrets, using the baking soda helped eliminate some of the infected ferrets smell the carpet. Clean with a pet-safe shampoo every few weeks, also helped. I've never tried using an air purifier, but that Febreze that you are referring to is supposed to remove pets (and other) odors. I am sure that would help remove at least some of the smells (of Again, if you have a sensitive nose, may not have anything that completely removes the smell). But if most of that smell in the carpet, then I do not think the plant that work to eliminate it. You could try the cleaner first, but if you do not notice much difference, then try to shampoo the carpets, too (if that is something that has not tried it yet). I think the cleaning of carpets and use of the plant will help get rid of much of the smell (along with other things you mentioned is already doing – few bathrooms, good diet, etc.).
