I am looking to buy an air purifier or an air cleaner help?

I'm looking for something that will keep dust levels to a minimum and has steal filters that are washable. Any suggestions are welcome.

I had two in the house of The Sharper Image and then read on consumer reports not very healthy. They finally start messing with the system and ends with allergies, etc. So I sold mine. Could do some research about them before buying. Thank you. SJ.
