Ionic Breeze compared to a HEPA air purifier filter?

I'm trying to minnimize the "stale" smell mixed with the smells of food we have in our department. My husband is craving fresh air, but not sure I should get. My grandmother was a year old unit back and IONIC Breeze type I loved the smell, but not sure my spouse will respond in the same. Almost everything I hate I like what I'm thinking about the air purifier device charcoal. Does anyone have any luckw ITH these? The "customer reviews" on Amazon.com and other websites seem as if written by the manufacturers anyway.

HEPA filter and a carbon filter would be my choice. The ozone layer emit most of the devices Ionic Breeze type, which is an irritant most important of the lungs and cause asthma like symptoms in most people.
