I recently bought a pair of stilts jumping online and was not the easiest experience I've been through. So I wanted to give some advice for anyone which is now in the same boat that was in
First, there is brand confusion. Air Walkers, Powerisers, Powerizers, powerstriders, powerskips, 7 League boots, and if you do not believe the list goes on. I think we're all used to the different brands of the same commodities law. There are GM, Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda, etc. .. and all cars sold. The difference here is that I could not find the information about each brand of jumping stilts and making them different. This is what I know.
There are only 2 or 3 companies (I think) in the U.S. authorized to import and distribute jumping stilts. Air walkers Powerisers and powerstriders. Next what I learned is that really not a lot of different between them when it comes to product, except price and service. Only two companies manufacture Pile jump abroad so no matter what brand you buy most likely will not come from the same factory as the other brand you are considering.
What it boiled down to for me was the price and service as mentioned above. I had questions and answers. I sent e-mails and making phone calls different vendors jumping stilts and was underwhelmed by the lack of response, with the exception of the innovations of the Alps, which is the authorized distributor and dealer Air-trekkers.
Gary Innovations in the Alps had the answers to my questions and is more friendly on the type you'll ever meet. Combine this with the fact their prices are in line if not lower than the competition and was at that time an easy decision. Cheaper price for the same product? Cha-Ching. After all we have decided that these pillars are from the same factory anyway right?
After the confusion was the question mark what model and what size spring to buy what Gary was very helpful in responding. Do you want to buy the font that best suits their weight category. If you are near the top of this category and think athletic then you want to run into a level.
The other thing I want to consider is to get the calf sleeve. This attachment that comes with some models makes the adjustment much better. The cuff fits tightly around his wrist that allows you to jump without feeling that the stilts are loose. Well worth the extra $ 90 or what is the cost. I understand there are modifications you can do to the models without the cuff make them fit tight though.
So now he knew the difference between the brands, model and weight category would better I made my purchase. I chose Air Pro Adult Twins Trekker. Maybe Google to see the photos.
Overall I'm pleased with the choice I made. The stilts are great and Air-Trekkers has been more than complaisant whenever I had a question.
