Does anyone recommend air purifiers for your home? I know what kind of HEPA filters are the best … any ideas?

I'm thinking of a Friedrich or Whirlpool … according to consumer reports. I know that Sharper Image Ionic Breeze and cleaning filters are only tricks Orick.
