need for an air filter for my apartment?

Looking for an air filter to trap mold, dust, allergens, etc. and to reduce odors. My apartment is about 650 square feet for all the smells of cooking are scattered throughout the place. I do not want one of these ionic purifiers create a large amount of ozone that is worse for you than the dust and mold. If anyone has a website that I get comments, I would appreciate too.
