lennox electronic air cleaner problems

I have a Lennox cleaner.It electronic air is clean but is constantly arcing / shorted low.?

I tried the'zap wires clean with a toothbrush to remove the oxidation as suggested in a website.It worked for a week before returning to the probelm.One original cells lack a wire.Could this is the problem? The unit is 17 years old and the power supply is working and has been replaced once.I welcome any suggestion before having to replace this unit.Thankyou.

If possible, run the fan and look through the blower door to see where is the arch. If one of the fins is bent a little it can arc and see where this is happening can help fix it. The cable you need not be a problem, but reduces the efficiency the filter a bit. You can purchase.
