What are the problems living in an alpine region?

Need a Geography section … and can not find anything in my textbook, or on the Internet. Anyone have any ideas?

It's a little obvious, actually. Alpine areas can be difficult climatic conditions. The snow may hinder access in winter, for example, melting snow and causing rivers to swell in spring / summer could also cause problems.
